SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29
The name of the season of Advent originated from the Latin word, adventus, which means “coming”. Our Advent season is a time of expectation and waiting for the coming of Christ – we prepare for his second coming as we celebrate his first coming. How will you prepare for Christ’s coming? Just remembering what was, or preparing for what will be? Come, join in the preparations.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. — James 3:17-18 (NASV)
