I’m writing this from Virginia Beach where our mission team has just finished a week of hard work. We worked on the home and yard of a woman who has breast cancer and is undergoing treatment. She and her husband are amazingly nice people. Her treatment is happening in Philly at Cancer Treatment Center so when she comes up in July I plan to visit her there. This was the 5th year for our youth and chaperones to go on a mission trip and I’m very proud of them for this undertaking.
May I add – IT WAS REALLY HOT!!
This piece I found this on Archie’s desk the other day seemed like good advice and very timely.
In the Garden – For the Garden of your daily living
Plant Three Rows of Peas:
- Peace of mind
- Peace of heart
- Peace of soul
Plant Four Rows of Squash:
- Squash gossip
- Squash indifference
- Squash grumbling
- Squash selfishness
Plant Four Rows of Lettuce:
- Lettuce be faithful
- Lettuce be kind
- Lettuce be patient
- Lettuce really love one another
No garden is without turnips:
- Turnip for meetings
- Turnip for service
- Turnip to help one another
To conclude our garden we must have thyme:
- Thyme for each other
- Thyme for family
- Thyme for friends
Water freely with patience and cultivate with love.
May there be much good fruit in your garden because you reap what you sow.
God bless!
