Christmas Program

Our program will be presented on Sunday, December 13, during our worship service. In The Candles of Christmas, we hear about Christmas traditions from the Advent Candles. Each has their own view of the most important part of Christmas as they state their reason why their candle expresses the meaning of Christmas better than the others. The Prophecy Candle states that it was most important so that people would be prepared by the prophets’ teachings. The Bethlehem Candle boasts of being the birthplace of our Savior and home to the first people who learned of his birth, the shepherds. Of course, the Mary Candle claims the greatest importance as the Mother of the King of Kings while the Angle Candle asserts that without the angels no one would know of the Savior’s birth. So, who is the most important Advent Candle? Come and enjoy this version of the Christmas story to find out the answer. If you would like to be a part of our program, please see me. We also welcome anyone who would like to be part of the Christmas Choir. Practices for the Christmas Program are scheduled for the following dates:

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. — Luke 2:8-11 (NASV)
