Ethel Fine is one proud great-grandma. Her great-grandson, Rich Supkowski won the Senior High Earth
and Space Award at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy
of Science Region 2 meeting with a perfect score. He
and 38 other students from Crestwood High and Middle
Schools presented science and math projects at the
meeting held on March 1 at Wilkes University. Region
2 includes Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike, Monroe,
Lackawanna, Wyoming and Luzerne Counties. That’s
a lot of competition! Congratulations to Rich for an
outstanding job!
The 2nd
Quarter Honor Roll at Crestwood High is out
and we’ve got some smart kids on it:
High Honors: Brad Kotarsky, Hunter Rinehimer,
Autumn Atkinson, Kimmy Bernetski
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. — Luke 2:8-11 (NASV)
