Welcome to Emmanuel United Church of Christ

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a great New Year! I want to thank everyone for my Christmas gift. I will enjoy it when Archie and I go to Richmond this week. Lisa and I always have a good time shopping together even though neither of us really needs anything. It’s good […]

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. — Luke 2:8-11 (NASV)

Valentines for Vets

A box will be in the bell tower for your Valentines for Vets. These Valentines are appreciated very much by those who are housed at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. The last date to deposit your Valentines will be February 12. Remember those who served.

Our gifts to Phoebe help them care for elderly members in their facilities who often have no financial support of their own. We received a Christmas Card from St. […]

They were taken to the McKinney Clinic to be passed out to the children whose families need to use the services of the clinic. The gifts you provided from the Giving Tree were also […]

A Shepherd’s Story

I would like to really, really, REALLY thank all the cast and crew of our Christmas Program. The shepherds did a fantastic job as they told the story of the Nativity from their point of view. Our angels were just, well, angelic as they sang of our Savior’s birth. Many people commented about how well […]
