The Luzerne County Transportation Authority has a Shared Ride Program for residents 65 years and older. It provides a reduced-cost ride by sharing the vehicle with others traveling in the same area at the same time. The ride area is anywhere in Luzerne County, usually Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. This service can be used for anything from doctor’s appointments to shopping to visiting with friends, or whatever else would get you out of the house.
