The blood drive with our Boy Scouts on Monday, November 12 was a good start for an annual event. I’m working with the Red Cross to get us in the rotation. That way we won’t be scheduled too close to other drives in our area and donors will be able to donate regularly. We had 14 donors who were able to give and several who were deferred for different reasons, so we almost made our goal of 17. Thanks to our members and scouts who helped! I really, honestly couldn’t have done it without you!
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. — Luke 2:8-11 (NASV)
