On Easter Sunday, April 8, we will celebrate Jesus’ victory over sin and death with two joyful services. The Sunrise Service will begin at 6:30 am and our regular worship service will begin at 10:30 am. At both services we will join in the sacrament of Holy Communion. After the Sunrise Service, we will have an Easter breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. Our Sunday School will meet at 9:00 am and hear how the first witnesses joyfully ran to tell others that Christ is Risen. So come hungry for food – spiritual and physical – and be filled with the spirit of the Risen Christ.
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. — Luke 2:8-11 (NASV)
