Our Youth Group is serving up a delicious Mardi Gras Brunch after our worship service on February 19. You can feast on Broccoli Quiche, Quiche Lorraine, chicken fingers, hash browns, genuine read beans and rice, fresh fruit and, of course, donuts. Our Fellowship Hall will be decked out with beads and baubles and the air will be filled with the vibes of zydeco music mixed with some Bourbon Street blues and Creole rhythms. There will be games for the kids and adults, too. Plus, we’ve got all the feathers, beads and glitter to create your own special, individual, one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras mask. All this fussin’ is to raise funds for the Youth Group mission trip this summer. They’ll be looking for your donation to help them on their way, so open up your hearts (and wallets and purses) to help them help others. Y’all come join us and bring everyone you know to enjoy a bit of the Big Easy. See y’all on Bourbon Street!
MARDI GRAS BRUNCH
But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed. All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the wrongdoing of us all To fall on Him. — Isaiah 53:5-6 (NASV)
