Connie and Tim Miller sent a card thanking all of us for our “love, concern, support and prayers so lovingly given during Tim’s horrible ordeal.” We pray for Tim’s returning strength during his recovery and pray for God’s healing power to be with both of them.
Joan Hughes has been on our prayer list as she has battled cancer for many months. As she says in her card to us, “Your kindness and caring have given me new hope.” Our prayers continue to ask that God’s healing touch will be with her.
Thank you letters were sent by Bethany Children’s Home, Lancaster Theological Seminary and Phoebe-Devitt Homes for our continued support of their missions.
Thanks to everyone who turned out to clean up Alberdeen Road on Mother’s Day. There were eleven people which really helped us get done quickly. Of course, we didn’t go for pizza like usual – not when Mom was waiting!
I would like to express how proud and thankful I am to be a part of this congregation. I threw out a challenge for us to fill six clean-up buckets to send to the people in our southern states who were so cruelly hit by the storms. Not only did we fill six, but donations came in so that seven buckets are packed with all the necessary items to scrub, wash, scour, and clean. You are tremendous and I thank God for your unselfish spirits and giving hearts.
Thank You!
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. — Luke 2:8-11 (NASV)
