Participants from the local Wapwallopen Ministerium churches will gather at Emmanuel for the Annual CROP Walk on Sunday, October 3. Registration is at 12:30 pm. After we gather in the church for a time of prayer, the walk will begin at 1:00 pm. We will walk from Emmanuel to St. James Lutheran Church where we will enjoy a brief break and some refreshments. Then, it’s back on the road again as we trek back to Emmanuel where more refreshments will be waiting (if you can help with refreshments, please see Cindy Heller). The round trip is an 8-mile hike (or run for some of our more fit participants). You can support this event by sponsoring a walker or by placing your donation in the basket on the bulletin table in the narthex. Donating to the CROP Walk will help strengthen our local resources since a portion of the donations is returned to local organizations, in our case the Wapwallopen Crossroads Ministerium and the food bank it supplies. Thank you. Your generosity helps feed and strengthen people around the world and neighbors in our own back yard.

[Prayer and the Golden Rule] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. — Matthew 7:7-8 (NASV)
